Remedial Massage
Remedial massage is often used for the effective treatment of injuries. During a session, the therapist will perform tests to accurately assess the injury or muscle dysfunction and tailor the massage accordingly to restore pain-free movement using a number a techniques.
This often takes a few sessions, and we highly recommend that a home care plan be followed to achieve optimal results - but it’s well worth it!
Remedial massage employs a combination of massage techniques, including:
-
Muscle Energy Technique (MET) /Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
-
Soft tissue release
-
Myofasical release
-
Joint mobilisation
-
Trigger point therapy
