Fitlife Sports Massage provides sports and remedial massage at 2 locations across Perth - Cannington and Mount Hawthorn.
We are looking for a confident, qualified Remedial Massage Therapist who is available to work part time at our Cannington clinic. The successful application will be required to work a combination of mornings and early evenings.
In addition to providing quality remedial treatments this position will require you to use basic reception and administration skills to take bookings, answer queries, process payments. You will also be required to maintain clinic cleanliness and hygiene.
What do our clients look like?
Our Cannington clinic treats a higher proportion of strength (body builders, power lifters, crossfitters) and recreational athletes. Our clients are typically fit, active people who do repetitive activities as part of their work or exercise regime and our treatments enable them to continue to do what they love. They comprise of all ages, shapes and sizes and present a range of injuries and conditions consistent with their lifestyles.
In general our clients come to us to either be fixed or maintained. They prefer a firm pressure and it would be a rare day that we receive a request for a relaxation massage.
What do we look like?
We have been around for approximately 5 years and have been in a consistent slow and steady growth phase during that time. We are building a small team of positive, communicative therapists who are passionate about our industry and willing to learn, grow and teach each other and our clients in a supportive and happy environment.
Our Cannington clinic (Fitlife HQ) is a stand alone shop front with 2 treatment rooms as well as a small area for exercise/stretch demonstration and pilates instruction. At Mount Hawthorn we have one treatment room within a multidisciplinary clinic - the therapists who work here are required to work more independently.
We have a big focus on caring for ourselves and on leading by example with our clients, you as a therapist are encouraged to maintain your own health, fitness and well being as a first priority.
All therapists are employed under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2010. Remuneration is above award wage, and rewards you more the busier you are! Permanent employees are also entitled to holiday and sick leave as well as Superannuation in line with the SCG.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who demonstrates confidence and competence and who is comfortable communicating their knowledge to clients!
You will be suitably qualified (see requirements below) and love what you do. You should be able to demonstrate some knowledge of anatomy and movement. Prior experience as a PT or movement coach is an advantage.
Treating some our clients can be a workout in itself so you will need to be fit and prepared to look after your own health and well being, this is a physically demanding role.
