What do our clients look like?
We’re not going to lie - our clients are hard work!! At Cannington, we specialise in treating strength athletes and we see a lot of them. They often require a firm pressure and more than a little trigger point therapy.
They are typically fit, active people who do repetitive activities as part of their work or exercise regime and they don't plan to stop anytime soon. They comprise of all ages, shapes and sizes and present with a range of injuries and conditions consistent with their lifestyles.
Generally they come to us because they have a problem or issue that they need fixed or as a means to maintain their bodies to suit their lifestyle (or competitions). It would be a rare day that one of our clients would request a relaxation massage.
What do we look like?
We are currently in a ‘growth’ phase and are developing a team of positive, communicative therapists who are passionate about our industry and willing to learn, grow and teach in a supportive and happy environment.
Our clinic has 2 rooms that we would like to see utilised to their full potential, and we have a bit of space for the purpose of demonstrating exercises and for conducting small stretch/movement classes (up to 4 people).
We have a big focus on caring for ourselves and on leading by example with our clients, you as a therapist are encouraged to maintain your own health and well being as a first priority.
All therapists are employed under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2010.Remuneration is above award wage, dependent on experience and with an entitlement to holiday and sick pay as well as Superannuation in line with the SCG.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who demonstrates confidence and competence and who is comfortable communicating at all levels!
You will be suitably qualified (see requirements below), love what you do and have invested further in your education other than the standard diploma requirements.
You will need to be fit to cope with the needs of our clients. We would like to see you living an active lifestyle with participation in sports or fitness at any level! You are in with an even bigger chance if you have demonstrated experience in Yoga, stretching or mobility work - and would like to utilize these skills to teach small groups!!
